FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.
What makes Warwick Forest unique?
We focus on wellness by stressing a holistic, whole-person balancing of physical, spiritual, emotional and social elements of personal well-being.
What’s more, our airy setting takes advantage of the Tidewater region’s natural beauty. Our expansion has been carefully planned to add choices to daily living and to keep our campus endowed with open space and mature trees.
How big is the community?
Warwick Forest is committed to remaining a small community in an effort to preserve the close-knit and caring atmosphere our residents enjoy. This is also advantageous because the staff is able to place special emphasis on personal attention for all residents.
What size are the residences?
Though the community of Warwick Forest remains small, the gorgeous living options are not. Airy cottages with vaulted ceilings and spacious apartments adorn the campus. Impressively, we feature some of the largest floor plans on the Virginia Peninsula – as much as 1,500 square feet of wall-to-wall comfort.
While our community encourages socialization and connectedness among residents and staff, our homes are designed to give residents the personal sanctuary and privacy they desire.
What are the advantages of living in a LifeCare community?
There are many proven benefits of living in a LifeCare community. According to a 1998 article in the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging, LifeCare residents are less concerned about failing health, less likely to worry about health-related costs, needing to move because of health reasons, or about losing their independence, and are more comfortable with their community’s safety.
At Warwick Forest, residents have access to all levels of care, including Assisted Living, Memory Support and Long Term Care care, if ever needed. Our desirable balance of high-quality health care programs, along with our community’s security and close-knit feel, make Warwick Forest the ideal LifeCare community.
Do I have options in choosing the LifeCare program
that’s right for me?
Yes, many residents say one of the reasons they chose Warwick Forest is because of the unique agreement options. Most communities in the Tidewater region only offer the standard LifeCare agreement. At Warwick Forest we believe people have varied financial perspectives. Perhaps they have invested in Long-Term Care insurance and, therefore, do not want to pay twice for coverage. We try to offer many choices – while keeping things simple.
Our community offers your choice of a:
- LifeCare Agreement – provides estate protection, tax benefits and predictability
- 90% Refundable LifeCare Agreement – maximum estate protection with a guarantee of 90% return of your investment
- Choice 1 or Choice 2 – choose to invest less or more up front to increase or decrease your Monthly Service Fee
- Fee for Service Agreement – provides a lower Entrance Fee in exchange for the ability to self-insure; great for those who have invested in long-term care insurance
… and more!
