| Ginger Knight, Executive Director | |
Ginger’s experience in long-term care and continuing care retirement community administration began at what is now The Chesapeake Retirement Community in Newport News, where she served as assistant administrator for seven years. She joined the Riverside Health System and came to Warwick Forest as Executive Director in 1996, overseeing a major expansion of our Assisted Living in 1998 and establishing our thriving Evergreen Memory Support. From 2001 to 2006 she served as Executive Director of Patriots Colony at Williamsburg, a sister Riverside community, returning to Warwick Forest and her current role following that tenure. A licensed nursing home administrator and a certified aging services professional, Ginger received her bachelor’s degree from East Carolina University in Business Administration and a master’s degree from Norfolk State University in Gerontology. She is a lifelong Tidewater Virginian and resides with her husband, Frank, and their three children in Poquoson. "Warwick Forest began as a small group dedicated to wellness. "Wellness" is a buzz word now, but we were focusing on it when it was unique. We have continued to bring it into our daily experience and develop leading-edge ways to live up to its implications. When you base who you are on being and living well, you can't help but grow and excel - in all ways, individually and collectively. And that is what we've done. We've grown up well and find that wellness, along with everything else we do, matters every day."

Jeanie Gander, Marketing Counselor | |
| Jeanie is the leader of the Warwick Forest Marketing team. As a marketing counselor for residential living, she works with prospective residents to see if Warwick Forest is an appealing plan for their future. "I enjoy meeting all the great people who are planning ahead,” she says. “I want to help them articulate what is truly important to them and educate them about their choices. We have a lot of floor plans and investment choices…. It’s not cookie-cutter. But, then again, neither are our residents! I feel I’m able to tailor all the options that Warwick Forest offers to create something that’s ideal for them." Originally from New York, Jeanie and her husband came to Hampton Roads in 2000 for his first operational tour as a naval aviator. Jeanie began her career with continuing care retirement communities at Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay in Virginia Beach. During his instructor tour, Jeanie and her husband moved to Oklahoma. There she worked for another retirement community: The Commons. At the end of his assignment, “We went out of our way to return to the Hampton Roads area,” says Jeanie. “We love it here!” | |
